If you need a piano teacher this is your guy! When I was in my mid-teens I had piano lessons for a couple of years then stopped; I’m now in my mid 50’s and always loved the piano and tried to play the odd easy piano piece here and there throughout my life. I’ve been having lessons from Yuen Yuen for only a couple of months and my playing has come on leaps and bounds. As someone who never played an instrument before and who felt overwhelmed with where to begin, Yuen Yuen made the journey a fun yet challenging one. I was able to jump right into the action almost from the first lesson as Yuen Yuen began to explain the intricacies involved with learning the piano. During the year and a half since I had my first lesson there have been many moments where I felt that a piece was too challenging to approach, but Yuen Yuen through his excellent teaching methods was able to break difficult sections into manageable chunks, which allowed and enabled me to perform the pieces successfully. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Yuen Yuen as he is an excellent teacher and a great person.
